The blog is now officially live and has its first published content! Find out more about what is now available and what’s to come.
Built On Books is officially up and running! I am currently rubbing my hands together and cackling “it’s aliiiiiiiiive” whilst being illuminated by sporadic bolts of lightning… or, I’m just really quite pleased that things are finally off the ground.
Along with this post, you can find a new review of a modern classic (Tove Jansson’s The Summer Book) has just gone live (click here to read it). During today, there will also be a longer article/review on the J.K. Rowling Wizarding World short stories and e-books.
What can you expect from the blog moving forward?
I’m currently working on a post about two of Gillian Flynn’s novels (Gone Girl and Sharp Objects), as well as the first part of my multi-post piece on the literary history of London (where I visited this weekend). I have a few multi-post things planned, as well as reviews of anything I read and some of the things that come up on my literature-based postgraduate course.
There will also be some arts-related posts. Museums, theatre trips, galleries. Anything that seems to fit the general ‘books and arts’ aesthetic.
Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you find a post that interests you. Feel free to contact me with questions or suggestions.
